This course review’s the Florida Advanced Building Code 7th Edition (2020) Appendix F for landscape irrigation. The design, installation, materials, means, testing and inspection of commercial irrigaiton systems will be covered. The course will focus on those items in the Building Code that landscape architects may not be proficient at using or applying in practice.
Learning Objectives:
The purpose of the presentation is to review and explain the key features and sections of the Florida Building Code 7th Edition (2020) as they relate to the practice of irrigation design, and subsequent irrigation system construction, for landscape architects. Sections of the Code, in particular Plumbing Appendix “F”, will be reviewed in regard to the practice of landscape architecture, and in relationship to the protection of the public health, safety and welfare in the design and construction of landscape irrigation systems. Attendees will have a better understanding of the Code requirements, be better able to apply the Code to their design solutions, and achieve closer compliance to the requirements of the Code in their daily work.
