Join us for a unique outdoor adventure in the heart of the Big Cypress National Preserve. Explore the stunning cypress dome on a NPS guided walk, learn about the local ecosystem, and connect with fellow landscape emerging professionals.

• Date: Saturday, April 5th
• Time: 10am-1pm
• Location: Big Cypress National Preserve Headquarters Conference Room, 33100 Tamiami Trail East, Ochopee, FL 34141

What to Expect:

• Educational Presentation: Learn about the National Park Service and the Big Cypress National Preserve.
• Guided Walk: Explore the cypress dome and experience a place like no other. 
• Networking Opportunity: Connect with other emerging professionals in an immersive setting.

Event Schedule:

• 10 AM: Arrive at the Big Cypress National Preserve Headquarters
• 10 AM-10:45 AM: Overview of the National Park Service and Big Cypress National Preserve
• 10:45 AM: Restroom break
• 11 AM: Travel to the trailhead
• 11 AM - 1 PM: Guided walk through the cypress swamp

What to Bring:

• Reusable water container
• Comfortable, closed-toe shoes (sneakers recommended)
• Long pants (mandatory)
• Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
• Insect repellant 
• Change of clothes and shoes (optional)

Please note:

• The walk may involve wading through water.
• Walking sticks will be provided by NPS.
• Rideshare/carpool encouraged.
