Join fellow emerging professionals and ASLA FIU students for an immersive sketching excursion in the heart of the swamp! This combined nature + sketchwalk blends field observation, quick sketching techniques, and deepened connection to the landscape. We'll traverse Gator Hook Trail to discover what lies within the cypress dome. Carpool is highly encouraged. 

What to expect: 

• A relaxed, guided walk through a cypress swamp

• Opportunities to connect with students and emerging professionals

• Field sketching and nature observation

• Possibility of standing water

What to bring:

• Long pants

• Closed shoes

• Water 

• Light snacks

• Sun protection

• Sketchbook & Drawing media

• Insect repellant 

• Optional: Walking stick
